It all began as a response to the problem generated by coca, drug trafficking and the large number of peasants displaced by subversive violence in other parts of Peru, we were an alternative, legal and profitable proposal, based on the cultivation and processing of oil palm, now we are an organization with 1300 palm producers and we are organized in 9 bases in the Ucayali region

COCEPU

In 1992 270 producers managed to meet distributed in 6 grassroots committees to form the most emblematic Agrarian Organization of Ucayali called the Central Committee of Palm Growers of Ucayali.

These were the founding committees, today called bases:

After the creation of the first oil palm processing plant, in 1998 the Empresa Oleaginosas Amazónicas Sociedad Anónima - OLAMSA was created.

That year we began to produce crude palm oil becoming a business company that articulates the production of fresh palm fruit in the national market.

By 2026

OLAMSA aspires to become the largest agro-industrial complex in the Ucayali region, a leader in the industrialization of palm oil and its derivatives, with an integrated economic and environmental management, improving and sensitizing the lives of producers and communities.

Formation of the Central Committee of Palm Growers of Ucayali - COCEPU

1993-96

Installation of 1100 ha of palm plantations

Of the 1,350 hectares originally considered, which entered production from 1996.

1996-97

Creation of the Neshuya plant

With a processing capacity of 6 MT of FFB/hour.

1998

OLAMSA founding

Who would be dedicated to the production of crude palm oil. Business company that articulates the production of fresh palm fruit in the national market.

3 Base Committees are affiliated: Abejaico, La Unión - El Milagro, and Nuevo San Martin

Thus, at present the scope of influence of the COCEPU Association ranges from KM 34 to KM 86 along the axis of the Federico Basadre Highway and the entire axis of the road from Monte Alegre de Neshuya to Curimaná

2021

More than 1100 producers left coca cultivation

and went to the oil palm, with more than 1300 palm oil producers now producing zero deforestation.

8500 ha cultivated today.
24 MT of RFF/hour processed by the Neshuya plant.
30 TM of RFF/hour processes the Campo Verde plant.

2021-22

We have already started working on a refining plant to sell 100% ucayalinos products

We think that by working with these initiatives we will be able to obtain
